Betty had always thought that she would like to have her own little Antique shop someday. As it turned out, her dream happened quicker than she thought because one day she had a freak accident. When something like that happens, one learns not to put off things, but to do it now!

One day back in 1987 when she went to Pasadena, she stopped at an Antique Co-op. You guesses it. She rented a space, but before she moved in she had planned a trip to Missouri. As luck would have it, she ran into some one going out of business because of health problems. It only took three trips with her van and trailor to get it all here.

With that inventory and the contents of her Grandparents house, she was on her way. Stan and Betty's shop carries a general line of all types of antiques, but her love has always been glassware from the Depression Era. She has had displays of her glassware in museums in Houston along with displays in the area libraries from time to time. Betty has also lectured several area groups about glassware.
